My name is Antti-Jussi Kovalainen (or ajk for short). I am a developer, designer, photographer, gamer and student from Tampere, Finland. I’m currently working for Solita as a software designer, and also studying computer science at Tampere University of Technology.

I’m a playful guy with a tendency to try and learn everything. I’ve been building websites solo since 2000 and thus can write some pretty mean code and dress it up properly, too.
In 2006 I realized how hard to use and ugly software can be at times. Since then, I’ve been on a quest to make software more easy to use (and pretty!). Interaction design is one area where I always want to be involved. I also enjoying making beautiful things happen, thus I’ve picked up some graphic design skills. Writing kick-ass code has also always been one of my traits. SoC, IoC, DI and MVC are all familiar to me. Language doesn’t matter, I’ve written programs in pretty much everything from Assembly to Cognos PowerHouse 4GL to NodeJS.
I have a wife, we live in Finland, got married in New York and have six computers at home. I use both OSX & Windows on the desktop and have a Linux server.
About this Site
This site was made on both Windows and OS X. The site was designed in Photoshop & Google Chrome. Developed using Sublime Text 2.
The back-end is run by WordPress with a bunch of plugins and a custom theme. The site was finally deployed to Garde-Party ry’s server.
